Contract for the use of teeWe´s Materials Management in the UTEMA – Mauá III Thermoelectric Construction project

On June, 20th 2015 it was signed the contract between teeWe and Andrade Gutierrez to deploy and use the EMM – Engineering Materials Management solution to be used fo materials management of the Engineering activities of the Mauá III Thermoelectric Construction – UTEMA.

With installed capacity of 583 MW, the UTE Mauá 3 will generate electricity in combined cycle (gas and steam) from the natural gas from Urucu platform, located in the city of Coari in Amazonas.

The Plant has the flexibility of operation in simple cycle and will replace less efficient generating units. It is expected that the plant will be completed by 2016.

The new plant of Eletrobras is considered strategic by the Federal Government for ensuring increased reliability of energy supply, acting  as a kind of insurance in the recomposition of the capital of Amazonas system, in case of any problem in the National Interconnected System (SIN) and to ensure efficient consumption of natural gas from Urucu.

Mauá 3 will be responsible for energy equivalent to 50% of consumption in Manaus and metropolitan area. Through the new venture, the Amazonas state  becomes a supplier of electricity to the entire national system.
